Supported Independent Living (SIL) is designed to provide services to individuals living with developmental disabilities and are living independently in the community. This service provides the support they need to live their lives to the fullest.
SIL is a program to assist your loved ones live in their homes, this includes supervision with daily tasks. It enables your loved ones to live as independently as possible while building their skills.
This means a significant number of supports are provided throughout the day, 7 days a week. This includes overnight support. Supports provided to:
- Personal care such as getting into or out of the bed, dressing, grooming, and practicing good hygiene
- Personal Organization which includes tracking items and managing time, grocery shopping, managing finance and Meal preparation
- Assistance with household tasks including light cleaning
- Grocery shopping Tasks
- List Item
- 24/7 and Overnight care
- Household Help
